WHAT DOES A PLACENTA LOOK LIKE?
Firstly, they're all different. They all have their own unique shape, size, vein structures. Some are huge and some are tiny. They all adhere to the maternal wall in a slighly different location within the uterus too.
The more you learn about this organ the more fascinating it becomes - honestly it does!
If you're not keen on keeping your placenta I encourage you to ask your doula or midwife to show yours to you - it really is incredible seeing where your baby has been living and growing for the past few months.
